Description

Full of classic Art Deco lines and detail, this massive piece features multi-levels, chrome trim and curved corners. This vintage piece was once used as a protective end-cover on a multi-roller industrial drying machine, the Sylon Industrial Commercial Dryer. It was salvaged from the circa 1935 Peacock Laundry of Salem, Virginia. What a unique piece of art or bar back this would make!

The laundry salvage job is featured in season 8, episode 7 of the DiY network show "Salvage Dawgs".

Condition: As expected with age and use in an industrial setting, the paint is worn off and the surface shows allover oxidation, or layer of rust. All chrome trim is present, although dented and dinged. The pressure gauge and electrical panel appear to be intact. Untested.

Weight: 450 lbs.,
Measurements: 52.5H x 15.5D x 165.75W
