The motor is affixed to a 4-arm stainless steel screw-on lid. When plugged in, the motor operates the stainless steel agitator with a very quiet "whirring" sound. Alternating Current Only. 105-115 Volts, 50-60 CYC. 1.6 Amps. Model E52" (1952). The stainless steel agitator also shows the manufacturer's marks "Ala. Mfg. Co. B'Ham. Ala." and "Alcoa"
The beautiful, 5-gallon "Duraglas" glass jar was made for Gem Dandy by Owens-Illinois Glass Company. The manufacturer's codes around the logo on the base of the jar indicate the plant number "7" (Alton, Illinois), date "52", and mold number "2". The churn comes with the original wooden bail-handled jar. It features the signature cow logo and barrel design made by Alabama Manufacturing Co. Birmingham Alabama.
