This 29 7/8" (W) x 83"(H) 2 panel door is hung in a 5 1/2" thick, 31 7/8"(W) x 86 1/4"(H), wood jamb. The solid wooden door has thick maple veneer with a dark stained natural finish on both sides. This door is in good condition with wear typical of use over an extended period on both sides. The finish on the left half of the interior of the jamb is discolored from exposure to moisture.
This door was salvaged from the former Moose Lodge in Jamestown, New York. This building, built in the late 1800's, was previously the mansion of John and Sarah Galloway, parents of the fabled "Lady in Glass". In 1932, the property was acquired by the local Moose Lodge Chapter which incorporated multiple additions to the grand structure. This building, and items from it, are featured on Season 11, Episode 1, of the Diy Network show, "Salvage Dawgs".
