Wooden 2-tier workbench with tongue and groove top. This workbench sits on a sturdy pine frame with 4x4 legs. The tongue and groove top is comprised of pine boards. The lower tier is constructed of wide pine boards of uneven lengths. One edge of the lower tier is even, while the opposing lengths overhang the frame. This sturdy table shows signs of heavy use throughout its time in service.
This workbench was salvaged from the former location of Roanoke Printing Company in downtown Roanoke, Virginia, as the circa 1929 building is prepared to be converted to lofts.
