Pine closet door in a wooden jamb with a fixed wavy glass transom. The door, measuring 30"(W) x 79 5/8"(H), has 4 raised panels. The exposed areas of the jamb, the transom, and door have a rich stained finish, highlighting the exquisite character of the pine. A row of 4 beads runs across the mull covers on both sides of the jamb. The original set of porcelain knobs, 1 black and 1 white, and painted brass Eastlake style steeple hinges are included with this unit. Overall, this door is in good condition with scuffing, scratches and minor nicks consistent with the age of the piece.
Salvaged from a circa 1885 Italianate style house in Barnesville, Ohio, this door, along with other items from the house, are featured on Season 10, Episode 5, of the DIY Network show, "Salvage Dawgs".
