Weksler Instruments 2 lb subdiv. gauge used to measure up to 200 psi of pressure in a steam line between the Carolina Inn and steam plant. This gauge is attached to a metal panel with a plaque that reads "Carolina Inn Steam Line". This gauge was salvaged from a 7000 square-foot steam power plant, built in 1985, in Pinehurst, North Carolina. Prior to the 1970's, this plant provided heat and electricity for various hotels, cottages as well as the small commercial area in the town. This plant will be restored and converted to a pub and brewery. The Pinehurst steam plant is featured in season 8, episode 3 of the DiY Network show "Salvage Dawgs".
