Oak modesty panel with a dark stained finish. A modesty panel is typically situated in front of the first row of pews in a church. Evenly spaced vertical wooden square rods run along the front of the panel. On the back are 2 book racks with 2 compartments each, and 2 triangular supports. This panel is in good sturdy condition. Some refinishing work is needed on one end of the piece, as it was cut in order to remove.

Salvaged from the circa 1964 Church of the Resurrection in Alexandria, Virginia, this panel and other items from this church are featured on Season 10, Episode 4, of the DIY Network show, "Salvage Dawgs".
