This banker's reception desk breaks down into 4 pieces, 2 sections of desks with paneled fronts, and their respective tops. This piece is fitted with beautiful black granite counters sitting roughly 6" above a 27 3/4" deep laminate desktop, the rear 13" of which are concealed by. The bases are composed of heavy-duty particle board with a red faux wood veneer finish, one measures approximately 36"(L) x 87"(W) x 42"(H), the other measures 36"(L) x 62"(L) x 42"(H). The smaller base contains a single drawer and a single enclosed cabinet with one door. The large half of the base has a single drawer, 2 enclosed cabinets, each with one door, and an open cabinet space with a pull-out surface occupying the entire bottom of the cubby. The two large cabinets each have an outlet box with a pair of outlets and flexible conduit running through the walls of the piece and ending where the desk sections meet. Each granite section has a narrow, 20" deep, end, and a "D" shaped end, measuring 36" deep and 29 3/8" wide, with a 3" hole bored into the center. The smaller top has a "Lazy Susan" installed around the hole. This desk is in good condition with cosmetic flawing present, such as chips, scuffing, and scratches in the finish of the base.
This piece was salvaged from a bank located in the Boulevard at the Cap Center shopping center in Largo, Maryland. This restaurant and items from it are featured on Season 10, Episode 12, of the Diy Network show, "Salvage Dawgs".
