Description

This vintage, heavy duty cast iron compound gear assembly was salvaged from a circa 1929 printing company in Roanoke, Virginia.
The mechanical assembly is comprised of 2 steel spur gears, a cast-iron mount, and a lever attached to an axle. The large gear has 74 teeth, and the smaller has 36 teeth.
This interesting assembly is full of industrial, steampunk appeal and could be used as intended or repurposed as part of a table base, industrial art or a lamp!

Salvage History: This assembly was salvaged from the former location of the circa 1929 Roanoke Printing Company in downtown Roanoke, Virginia, as the building is prepared to be converted to lofts.
