Wooden framed double-Z brace barn door with strap hinges and complete rim latch. This door is constructed of single bead board, and plain, sturdy planks for bracing and framing. This door has a coat of white paint on both sides. The paint is chipping from the flat side of the door (side without bracing), revealing the weathered wood below. The paint on the opposing, braced, side is in better condition. The hardware and a single strip of wood attached to the handle edge of the flat side are painted green. This door is in fair condition, weathering has somewhat degraded the wood at the foot of the flat side; however, the rear bracing keeps the door sturdy.
This door was salvaged from a 19th century corn crib in Shoemakersville, Pennsylvania. Items from this job are featured on Season 7, Episode 7, of the DIY Network show, "Salvage Dawgs".
