Description

This control panel was salvaged from the control room of a decommissioned fire rescue boat, the Mayor J Harold Grady, a 6000 GPM (gallon per minute) fireboat built in 1960.

The instrument board, manufactured by KaMeWa, is equipped with instruments for determining pitch and engine speed in an engine room, indicator lights, and more. The large dial in the top center switches between "Standby", "Free Run", "Propeller & Pump", and "Pump Only". The instruments are mounted in an aluminum housing with a hammered finish.

Condtion: This piece is in good salvaged condition. The internal wiring and components also appear to be in good shape. Surface scuffs and scratches present as expected with age.

History: This panel was salvaged from the Mayor J Harold Grady, a 6000 GPM (gallon per minute) fireboat built in 1960, serving Baltimore, Maryland, from 1961 until it was decommissioned in 2007. This fireboat and items from it are featured on Season 10, Episode 8, of the Diy Network show, "Salvage Dawgs".
