Front section of a horse-drawn logging bobsled. It has a swiveling bunk that would steer the load, as well as hold the box or platform into which lumber would be loaded. This piece does not include the lead to connect the sled to the horse, or the drawbar that would connect this sled to the rear. When complete, this style of sled is smaller and would have been hauled by only one horse. Hearty wood and iron construction. 36" x 38" x 62", 181lbs.
