Description

This wooden medicine cabinet was salvaged from the historic Fire Station #1 in Downtown Roanoke, Virginia. This station was one of the longest continually operating in Virginia; in use from 1907, until 2007. The cabinet is painted white with a mirrored door with a hook latch. It has 3 fixed wooden shelves and a beadboard backer. Simple molding runs along the perimeters of the top and bottom of the cabinet.
This cabinet is sure to bring a charming vintage touch to your bathroom, or anywhere else you put it!

Condition: This piece is in good condition for its age. The top of the cabinet has a slight warp or cup. It needs a fresh coat of paint or to be stripped and stained.

History: This cabinet was salvaged from the historic Fire Station No. 1 in Downtown Roanoke, Virginia. This station was one of the longest continually operating in Virginia; in use from 1907, until 2007, when a replacement facility was opened. The firehouse salvage job and items from it are featured on Season 11, Episode 11, of the DIY Network show, "Salvage Dawgs".
