5/8" x 29" x 72" wooden mid-bar style barn door with reproduction strap hinges, rim-lock, and knob hardware. This door is in excellent condition and is comprised of 4 vertical rough-sawn boards (2 wide outer, and 2 narrow inner) and 3 wooden braces screwed to one side horizontally. The flat side of the door is coated in a cream-colored paint, the reverse is white.
This door was salvaged from a property in Drakes Branch, Virginia. Here, the Dawgs worked to deconstruct and preserve a cabin structure from which the earliest components are dated 1703. Items from this cabin and the surrounding property are featured in Season 9, Episode 11, of the DIY Network show, "Salvage Dawgs".
