Milk Glass Acorn Globe, 6.5" Diameter, Historic 1850's Hotel Salvage



Our salvage team rescued these beautiful milk glass globes from a historic inn in Healing Springs, Virginia. The glossy, white acorn-shaped light shade, or globe, feature a classic shape and 3" lip fitter.

History: The globes were salvaged from Cascades Inn in Healing Springs, Virginia. This historic inn was comprised of a hotel built in 1850, with various renovations taking place in the early 1900's, and a motel built around the 1950's. During the civil war, the hotel was used as a hospital for sick soldiers. The Inn was also used as a storage location for various fixtures such as furniture and plumbing from the nearby Homestead resort. The Cascades Inn and items from it are featured on Season 11, Episode 10, of the DIY Network show, "Salvage Dawgs".

Condition: Very good. No breaks or evidence of repair.
