Dining Table, Nissen Balance Beam Base, Upcycled Gymnastics Equipment

Excited about the 2021 Summer Olympic Games? Your gymnastics enthusiast will flip (or perhaps, "Omelianchik"*) for this glass topped dining table or desk. Serve a "balanced" meal or keep a "balanced" work schedule at this 84 inch long table made of a salvaged, vintage Nissen balance beam and a glass top.

After attempting to "gymnastic", our design team got to work and created this piece in our custom design shop, The base of the table is made of a heart pine Nissen balance beam with the original chrome legs. The height of the table can be adjusted from 28 1/2" to 37 3/4", utilizing a locking collar and clamp mechanism on the legs .
The glass top is 3/4" tempered glass with a flat polished edge. The edge has a small defect on one corner where a side of the face has been rounded off.

Condition: The table is new, and the beam is in very good condition with minor cosmetic wear, as expected with age and use.

The balance beam is featured on Season 2, Episode 1, of the DIY Network show, "Salvage Dawgs". Watch the build featured on Season 3, Episode 2.

Weight of Glass is 201 lbs, Base is 123 lbs
Total Weight: 324
Item Measurements: 84(L) x 36(W) x 28.5(H) lowest setting, 37(H) highest setting.

*"Omelianchik": a signature move named after Romanian gymnast Oksana Omelianchik. This beam skill is a back dive with a one-quarter or three-quarters twist, landing in a handstand. The perfect dismount following a complicated meal or busy workday at this table or desk!
