50" Dresden Hanging Parlor Lamp, Hand Painted Glass, Brass & Crystals, 1800's



This Dresden brand Victorian parlor pendant lamp was salvaged from an 1886 Victorian home in Virginia. It features a hand-painted glass shade, crystals and a brass font. The brass knob on the font holder reads "Dresden".
The 14" glass dome shade features an interesting hand-painted image of autumn foliage and a delicate winter scene within a moon. Spear crystals hang from the shade and upper band.

Condition: Very good. The lamp has been converted to electric. A few prisms are missing.

History: This light was salvaged from a Victorian style house in Salem, Virginia. Built in 1886, this 4000 square-foot house had been converted to apartments under previous ownership. Under new ownership, this residence is being converted back to a single-family home. This house is featured on season 8 episode 12 of the DiY Network show "Salvage Dawgs".
