Rare 1930 Farm Sink Salvaged Trenton NJ, Drainboard, Cast Iron, Porcelain, 52" W



This farm sink was manufactured from 1929-1935 by the Trenton Potteries Company in Trenton, New Jersey. It was salvaged from Central High School, also in Trenton, New Jersey! The cast iron farm sink features a classic, farm sink silhouette, glossy, enamel finish, and roomy, right-side drainboard. The sink features the Trenton Potteries logo and is sold with two mounting brackets. Legs are not included.
As expected with age, the porcelain glaze has become crazed with a delicate, spiderweb patina. This sink shows no rust and is expected to last for generations. Unlike enameled cast iron sinks, fireclay or porcelain sinks do not rust.

History: The sink was salvaged from Central High School in Trenton, New Jersey as it was prepared for renovation. The sink was manufactured by the Trenton Potteries Co. between 1929-35. The salvage of Central High School is featured on the DiY Network show "Salvage Dawgs", in Season Five, Episodes 5 and 7. Weight: 452 lbs.,
