Description

This horizontal stabilizer was salvaged from the empennage, or tail group of wings, from a vintage Beechcraft Bonanza airplane. The 88" stabilizer wing is composed of a framework of rigs and stringers with an aluminum alloy skin.

The horizontal stabilizer, also referred to as tailplane, is located at the rear of the aircraft. It provides stability and control by preventing pitching motion of the aircraft nose. Usually, the stabilizer will have a hinged elevator attached to control lift; however, it has been removed.

Condition: Good condition for age and use. The finish shows wear as expected with wind shear, weather and debris in the stratophere! Surface scuffs, dents and dings. Parts not certified or expected to be be in compliance with applicable Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements (§ 102-33.360).
