Description
Charming center stained glass panel without sash. This panel has 12 panes of pale pink, yellow, blue, and purple obscure glass centered between an ornate border on the left and right sides. The border is decorated with foliage and cruciform motifs in glass paint on uniquely shaped panes of vibrant red, pink, yellow, green, blue, and purple glass. A light coat of glass paint has been applied to the glass in random shapes and configurations to create the illusion of shadows. The sash around this panel is composed of 3 1/4" wide reclaimed tongue and groove porch pine with a worn finish featuring remnants of light blue and dark red paint on the front, with the back left natural and unpainted.
This panel is in fair condition. Some panes may be cracked or chipped. The came along the bottom of the panel is in rough condition. The exact age and provenance of this piece is unknown.
