V-Groove Board and Batten (or Barn) Door - EDOOR26



This wooden double z-brace board and batten, or barn, door is comprised of tongue and groove double v-groove pine boards painted a light blue-gray on the front with the back left natural and unpainted. This door is equipped with a pair of strap hinges along one edge, and a partial hasp (not including staple) below a tack numbered "24" on the opposing edge. This door is in good salvaged condition showing scuffing, scratches, dents and dings throughout. Multiple very small holes and nicks in the paint are present around the upper right of the face, possibly from darts. This door is out of square. Measurements range between 23 5/8"(W) x 74 1/2"(H) and 24"(W) x 74 5/8"(H). This door was salvaged from the historic Fire Station No. 1 in Downtown Roanoke, Virginia. This station was one of the longest continually operating in Virginia; in use from 1907, until 2007, when a replacement facility was opened. This firehouse and items from it are featured on Season 11, Episode 11, of the DIY Network show, "Salvage Dawgs". Weight: 32 lbs.
