Description
This large lantern was salvaged from the Norfolk Southern East End Shops in Roanoke, VA. It is also called a Carbic flare light, railroad lantern, or miner's light. Brass plaques with instructions for use are attached to the body of the lantern. Manufactured by Carbic, New York, Duluth. It could be converted into a one of a kind modern lamp or left as is for a historical piece.
