Ceiling fan downrods offer added flexibility in placing fans in the exact setting desired. Decorative 1/2-Inch diameter downrods are threaded on one end with pre-drilled holes on both ends. The threaded end of the downrod should be installed in the ball, inside the ceiling canopy. For optimum performance, Monte Carlo recommends that your ceiling fan is installed with the blades suspended between 8-Feet and 9-Feet above the floor.
