This authentic 19th-century steam whistle was manufactured by Crosby Steam Gage and Valve Company of Boston, Massachusetts. The whistle shows a patent date of Jan 30, 1879. It is crafted in solid brass with a rich natural patina.
This rare 3-chime model was used on locomotives for signaling and features a bold cylindrical bell, integrated top cap, and heavy-duty threaded base. Measuring approximately 14 inches tall, it's a striking display piece for collectors of railroad memorabilia or vintage industrial artifacts. A true piece of American steam locomotive history.
