Description

1930s National Cash Register Accounting Bookkeeping Machine and Typewriter, Class 3000, on Stand

Made in Dayton, Ohio in the 1930s, this National Cash Register Company accounting machine and typewriter prints symbols and text. This was NCR’s first “hybrid”, the Class 3000 bookkeeping machine. The electric machine comes on the original stand with a convertible side-desk and locking wheels. The serial number plaque on the bar of the stand reads, “107462, 42-LT”. A serial number plaque on the stage of the typewriter reads, “3-63937, 18, 30612(118Y-2X)”

Condition: Stand and typewriter components are in good condition for age and use, however the electric and motor has been tested and do NOT work. The typewriter body is intact with some expected scuffs, dings and scratches. All keys are present except for one function key (as shown in photos). The paper support rod has a crack in the right support arm. The stand and convertible side desk are very sturdy. The typewriter has been evaluated by a certified electrician and it does NOT work.
