They don't make them like this anymore! This is an Early American antique lock, originally made for a chest or trunk. The lock mechanism would be inset on the front of the piece, with the strap attached to the underside of the lid.
Measurements:
Faceplate is 9" diameter. The hasp is 15" long overall - The keeper to the hinge is 8.75" while the top strap is 6.75". This is an antique hand wrought piece, but the hasp is believed to be a hand-made reproduction.
This lock is in excellent condition and works well. Lock, hasp, and key are all included.
