Description

Cast iron diaphragm assembly from pressure responsive device, most commonly used with a loss of head gauge or similar. This piece has a hinged weight tied in with the diaphragm disk below using a thin steel rod extending from the center of the disk. This piece has a pitted rusty patina perfect for use in an industrial or steampunk themed space! This assembly was salvaged from the water treatment plant of the former Rock Hill Printing and Finish Company facility in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Known as "The Bleachery" to locals, the facility was comprised of 6 buildings, the earliest dating back to 1925, and a reservoir. The water treatment plant was added in 1930 under a bond issued by the citizens of Rock Hill. The water plant, and items from it, are featured on Season 10, Episode 7, of the DIY Network Show, "Salvage Dawgs". Weight: 77 lbs. Item Measurements: 17.5(L) x 16(W) x 30(H)
