Description
This beautiful, 2 panel oak door with jamb was salvaged from Wilson Hall on the campus of James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. The door features a lightly stained natural oak finish with recessed panels and is equipped with brass hardware, including hinges, lever handles, and kick plates.
The oak door measures 35 ¾" x 83 1/2" x 1 ¾".
The oak jamb measures 37 ½" x 85 1/4" x 5".
Condition: Excellent condition with minimal cosmetic flaws. Minor surface scuffs as expected with age and use.
History: This door was salvaged from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. Wilson Hall, an American building on the campus of JMU, was constructed as the centerpiece of the JMU Quad. The building is named for President Woodrow Wilson, a native of nearby Staunton, Virginia, and was dedicated on May 15, 1931.
