Description
This unique piece was hand made in our shop by upcycling a pair of salvaged shutters and an old steamer trunk. The garment rack, or hall tree was designed to provide a sturdy, stylish and highly functional piece! The garment rack includes storage, a cushioned seat, iron hooks and a pull, a clothing rack and handy towel rack or push bar.
Support framing was added to the piece for stability. The trunk was retrofitted to create a seat with lower storage shelves. The trunk storage cubby was relocated to serve as a backrest for added storage. A garment rack spans the top of the unit. We added a hefty iron pull, multiple hooks and a push or towel bar to the sides of the unit. Sturdy casters make this an easy unit to move from room to room as needed!
The shutters received a custom paint job using our Black Dog Salvage furniture paint in a warm, cheerful, butter color.
Condition: New. Custom piece hand made in our shop; sturdy and well built, upcycled elements will show expected and intentional patina, scuffs and dings.
