This unique coffee table features an upcycled waterproof hatch door from a decommissioned Baltimore fireboat, the J Harold Grady. The legs are made of welded chain and a polished brass rod takes the place of the hinge pin. This one of a kind coffee table was designed and built courtesy of our very own Mike Whiteside.
Finished with a durable polyurethane coating, this unique piece is the perfect coffee table for an office, lake home, or as a conversation starter in any home! Weight: 190 lbs.
Item Measurements: 67.5"L x 37"W x 20"H History: The nautical door was salvaged from the J Harold Grady, a 6000 GPM (gallon per minute) fireboat built in 1960. The fireboat served Baltimore, Maryland from 1961 until it was decommissioned in 2007.
In 2024, the fireboat became one of the latest additions to Delaware's renowned artificial reef system in Redbird Reef.
This fireboat and items from it are featured on Season 10, Episode 8, of the Diy Network show, "Salvage Dawgs".
