Description

This column was salvaged from the Kean Estate, a stunning, Georgian stone mansion in Livingston, New Jersey. This 6-foot, 8.5-inch tall, plaster composite column features a beautiful Corinthian capital and square base. The shaft has a custom-painted faux marble finish with light orange "veining". The capital and base are painted off white with gold accents. Ornate acanthus leaves decorate the capital. A classic, stunning architectural piece.

Condition: Good condition. Chips along upper and lower edges of column. Capital has chip along round molding on base. Scuffing and scratched present in finish.

History: This column was salvaged from the Kean Estate, a 17,000 square-foot mansion sat atop the highest point in Livingston, New Jersey. This sprawling residence features 14 bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, and 15 fireplaces The Kean Estate, and items from it, is featured on Episode 6, Season 11, of the DIY Network Show, "Salvage Dawgs".
