Own a piece of aviation history! This vintage aircraft emergency exit sign reads "Pull Curtain Aside", perfect for collectors of aviation enthusiasts and of retro decor. This vintage emergency exit sign was designed to be affixed to the inside of an aircraft near an emergency exit door or window. The sign features a molded plastic frame with a glass faceplate that reads "Emergency Exit, Pull Curtain Aside". The phrase "Pull Curtain Aside" was used in older aircraft with fabric curtains covering them instead of the rigid panels used today.
The body of the sign is recessed, leaving a small gap behind the glass allowing light to reflect off the back of the sign through the glass. Condition: The frame shows expected paint loss and scuffs. The screws that affix the glass to the frame show some surface rust. The glass sign plate is intact with some surface tape residue present. The back of the sign reads "73 Arctic" which could be a manufacturing or service date for the year 1973, or it could be the Aircraft Model or Fleet Number.
