Like most steel manufacturers, Mullins dedicated its production lines to military orders during World War II. After the war, Mullins expanded their Youngstown Kitchen line to include sinks, cabinets, and countertops. All production facilities produced porcelain steel components.
During the great housing boom of the late 40s and 1950s, competition was fierce for kitchen cabinetry.
