Description

This unique office door was salvaged from a circa 1910 building in Roanoke, Virginia. The building was initially the home of the Exchange Lumber Company until 1941. More recently, it was a shop and warehouse. The 1-panel, 1-lite door features a wood veneer with a glue chip glass window. This door has modern brass hinges and does not include knob hardware.

Condition: The door is in good structural condition with cosmetic flawing in areas. The finish is "alligatored" as is common with antique finishes, and shows scratches, scuffs and gouges throughout. The glass has a few remnants of paint. The area around the glass on one side shows heavy scuffing/gouging and missing paint from what appears to be a brush used to remove the paint from the glass. The spine of the door has been cut unevenly, causing the width to taper from 26.75 at the bottom to 26.25 at the top.

Height: 81.4" Tall,
