Description
This stately, arched entryway system was salvaged from a bank in Kenbridge, Virginia. It stands 13.5 feet tall and almost 11 feet wide, featuring neoclassic architectural details; the grand scale, Doric detailing, columns, a Palladium window, and paneled walls. This historic architectural entry will create a grand entrance to your home or business, or could be repurposed as a spectacular structural landscape element for your event space.
The Palladium window is comprised of a stunning, arched window with spiderweb detail and sidelights. The sidelights include delicate circle and diamond patterns with flower ornaments decorating the came.
Raised panels occupy the walls and arched ceiling of the entry while crown molding graced with dentil modillions forms the border between the walls and arch, extending above the square fluted pilasters on the face of the piece forming the capitals. Above the pilasters, simple molding leads up to a keystone with incised groove decoration.
Finish detail: The interior components of the archway are painted an off-white color. The exterior is mostly unfinished with exception of the sidelight and transom window sashes, which are coated in pale green paint. Condition: This system is in good salvaged condition but will require repairs and reconditioning to bring back to its former state. The sidelights and transom will need glass panes replaced, as they each have missing or broken pieces. Some small sections of molding and trim may be missing from areas throughout the structure. Weathering and wear are present throughout the piece as expected with age and use. Overall Measurements: 128(L) x 72(W) x 161(H)
A diagram has been provided in the photos detailing dimensions of each component.
