Airplane Wing Empennage Part, Vintage Stabilizer Wing, 51"

This vertical stabilizer section was salvaged from an aircraft maintenance facility in Virginia. A vertical stabilizer is part of the empennage, also known as the tail (or tail assembly) at the rear of an aircraft to provide stability during flight, in a way similar to the feathers on an arrow. This vertical stabilizer is composed of a framework of rigs and stringers clad in an aluminum alloy skin.

Measurements: 51" x 51" x 10.5"

Condition: Good condition for age and use. The finish shows wear as expected with wind shear, weather and debris in the stratosphere! Surface scuffs, dents and dings.
