Description

This vertical stabilizer section was salvaged from an aircraft maintenance facility in Virginia. A vertical stabilizer is part of the empennage, also known as the tail (or tail assembly) at the rear of an aircraft to provide stability during flight, in a way similar to the feathers on an arrow. This vertical stabilizer is composed of a framework of rigs and stringers clad in an aluminum alloy skin.

Measurements: 51" x 51" x 10.5"

Condition: Good condition for age and use. The finish shows wear as expected with wind shear, weather and debris in the stratosphere! Surface scuffs, dents and dings. This piece is not certified or expected to be in compliance with applicable Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements (§ 102-33.360).
