Description

This door was salvaged from a steam power plant built in 1895 in Pinehurst, North Carolina. The corrugated, galvanized metal boiler room fire door comes with a 94 5/8" long flat track.
This sturdy door has an angle iron frame with a single layer of corrugated metal on the front and is coated with metallic paint throughout.

Condition; Good for age and use. Dents, scratches and gouges are present in areas as expected with use in a busy industrial environment over a long period.

History: This door was salvaged from a 7000 square-foot steam power plant, built in 1895, in Pinehurst, North Carolina. Prior to the 1970's, this plant provided heat and electricity for various hotels, cottages as well as the small commercial area in the town. This plant will be restored and converted to a pub and brewery. The Pinehurst steam plant is featured in season 8, episode 3 of the DiY Network show "Salvage Dawgs".
