Description

This 11 foot long oak modesty panel was salvaged from the circa 1964 Church of the Resurrection in Alexandria, Virginia. The oak panel is 11 feet long and 2.75 feet high. It features simple, angular lines and evenly spaced vertical oak square-rod decoration with a dark stained finish. Two book racks and 2 triangular supports are on the back of the panel .

Condition: This panel is in great condition. One end of the panel has a raw edge where it was cut during removal. Some minor surface scuffs and scratches may be present as expected with age and use.

History: This panel was salvaged from the sanctuary of the circa 1964 Church of the Resurrection in Alexandria, Virginia, this modesty panel was situated around the altar or in front of the first row of pews. This panel and other items from this church are featured on Season 10, Episode 4, of the DIY Network show, "Salvage Dawgs".
