Description
Ornate metal fabricated twin beds made of metal sheet and square tubing, with metal "rattan cane" screen, decorative trim and finials. This is a painted metal version of an Empire style piece of late 19th century.
Includes curved paneled headboard, footboard and 2 rails for each assembly. Rails are approximately 6" high with rolled edges. In place they run longitudinally at about 13 1/4" high, with the bottom edge clearance of 7 3/4" from floor.
Curved headboard is about "8.5 deep, 32 7/8" tall and 36" wide. Bottom clearance of headboard is 6 3/8" from floor. Footboard is 3 3/8" deep x 17 5/16" high x x 36" wide, Bottom clearance from floor is 7". Please note that these beds may be smaller than modern twin beds.
Each bed has multiple layers of heavily flaking paint including black, mint green and cream/white. There is superficial rust throughout. One footboard has some dents on top. One cross member is missing from each bed. Casters incomplete and have been removed (there are 3). No slats. No mattress. When put together, one bed measures 80(L) x 36(W) x 33(H).
