Description

This 14.5" vintage, industrial light was once used in a railroad facility in Clifton Forge, Virginia. This fixture was used in the maintenance pit of a train repair facility to light the underside of a train car or engine. It was manufactured by Benjamin Electric Manufacturing Company between 1898-1958.

Inside of the heavy, cast, body of this light is a trough shaped reflector that allows maximum light output. A refractory, heat-resistant, square glass cover concentrates and projects light in a specific direction. The metal cage over the glass ensures this fixture will stand up to severe conditions.

Condition: Good for age and use. The metal body shows some surface oxidation and grime. Some lenses are cracked, will provide complete condition detail prior to shipping.
