Description
This early 20th-Century oak file cabinet features a warm, naturally finished wood grain, paneled sides, and eight drawers with original hardware.
Each section features a numbered brass plaque that reads "Federal Trade Commission", suggesting the cabinet may have been used in a government office or records department. Although the FTC was established in 1914, i Its historic Washington headquarters was not completed until 1938. This cabinet may have been in use at the FTC offices.
