VAN DYKE'S Restorer's Carpenter's Rim Lock Set, Knobs, Left Handed
Finely crafted in iron like the originals, this handsome carpenter's rim lock set is in the left hand orientation.
Set includes a pair of brass knobs with spindle, matching rosette, two keys, catch plate and escutcheon.
Lock Body: 7 1/8" x 5" x 1 1/8" thick.
Catch Plate: 1 1/2' x 5" x 1 1/8" thick.
Rim locks are usually installed on doors that are too narrow to take an internal lock mechanism. They are generally for interior doors as they are not very secure since they can be removed with a screwdriver.
The lock is composed of the body, keeper, escutcheon, and privacy latch.
