1950s Frigidaire Refrigerator by General Motors, White with Retro Chrome Detail, Working! DM-107
This beautiful, Mid Century Frigidaire refrigerator is full of retro detail, including “target” style pull handle, details in chrome, ice blue and gold detail styled by Raymond Loewey, the French-American “Father of Industrial Design”*. The chrome nameplate reads, “Frigidaire, Made Only by General Motors”. Other features include the original sliding aluminum shelves, innovative “Meter Miser” refrigeration unit, and “Target Door Latch” design.
Measurements: 32(L) x 24.5(W) x 61.25(H)
Condition: Good condition for age and use. The refrigerator and freezer function as expected. The unit also shows surface scuffs, some chrome pitting, surface rust, dry rubber gaskets, a crack on the inner wall of the dropdown freezer door (as shown in photos), a crack on the outer layer of the freezer drip drawer (inner lining of drawer is intact and functional), Also missing the 2 lower "crisper" drawers. *The refrigerator designer, Raymond Loewey, is referred to as “The Man Who Shaped America, The Father of Streamlining and The Father of Industrial Design”.
